On The Use Of Microphone

The microphone is very good for delivering loud, clear, far-reaching sermons, enlightenment and announcements. But the same microphone often disorganizes the songs and praises during worship. It disorients the tune or gives the wrong key for singing. Experts in Music and choir performance should be able to explain what I mean.
The songs and praises are very important to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are also very important to Angels, because the Angels move with the tune. Hence, “Song is the vehicle that conveys the Angels.” – Song moves the Angels to act swiftly. To the congregation, songs and praises bring blessings, healing, prophecy, solutions, divine presence and companionship etc.
A microphone used in worship should be like water, which is colourless, odourless and tasteless; the microphone should be noiseless, keyless and discordance-less. Noiseless in the sense that it does not distort the songs, or introduce interference. Keyless in the sense that it does not mislead the voice of the congregation. Discordance-less in the sense that it does not disorganize the spiritual harmony during worship. Sometimes, singing without microphone is more natural, more melodious, more pleasant and more effective than singing with one.
Very importantly, leading choristers should be trained on how to handle, use or position the microphone in order to prevent discordant songs and praises.
